Ray Shinn
Ray Shinn’s appraisal career began in 1987 working with Conley, Kight and Boswell during the reappraisal of the State of Kansas where he appraised and reviewed work on residential, agricultural, commercial and industrial properties. In 1989 Shinn was appointed as County Appraiser of Nemaha County. During that time he hired and trained a staff of five and was responsible for updating the county values and records to those that are required by Kansas Department of Revenue.
In 1992 Shinn began work with Farm Credit Services of Northeast Kansas. Through the years he has developed the skills of appraising commercial properties, specializing in hog facilities, dairies, grain elevators, and feed mills. Ray was also instrumental in modeling the new appraisal value range and product design. During that time he had the opportunity to mentor two trainees in agricultural and residential appraisals.
Ray is an active member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and was formerly President of the Kansas chapter. Ray holds the Certified General License in Kansas and Nebraska.

Aaron Shinn
Aaron joined the appraisal profession after graduating from Kansas State University in 2012. Growing up working on the family farm as well as for his brother’s construction company, gave Aaron valuable hands-on experience in both the agricultural and the residential markets. Aaron earned his Certified General Real Property Appraisal License in 2018, completing all necessary appraisal education and courses through the Appraisal Institute and American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Aaron specializes in agricultural and rural residential appraisals throughout Northeast Kansas. He is an active member of American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA). Aaron holds the Certified General License in Kansas and Missouri.
Joe Feldkamp
APPRAISER TRAINEE
Joe is currently in the process of completing all necessary courses and training to obtain his Certified General license. Joe is a Kansas State University graduate and has been in the insurance claims field since 2005. He resides in Louisburg with his wife, Beth, and their three children. Joe will be focusing on appraising agricultural and rural residential properties in Eastern and Southeast Kansas as well as Western Missouri.
